Good but not great

I bought two pairs, one for my wife and one for my son. I currently own the WH950NB, a Sony WH 1000 XM 4 and I previously owned the WH830NB, so I have a good point of reference when comparing these models.

The W800BT SE is noticeably lighter and has a harder plastic feel than the higher-end models. That said, it appears to be well built, and I'm hopeful that it will prove durable over time. Comfort is good, and my son had no issues wearing them for extended periods.

The sound quality is decent, but it lacks the clarity and definition of the more premium models. I also found that the difference between the three preset sound modes was minimal and not particularly noticeable during normal use.

On paper, the specifications suggest a more premium experience than what is delivered in practice. However, I purchased these primarily for gym use and managed to get them at a 44% discount, which makes the value proposition more acceptable.

Even at the discounted price, I feel they are still somewhat expensive, especially considering that no storage case or pouch is included. Had I paid full retail price, I would likely have been more disappointed.

Overall, they are comfortable, lightweight headphones with decent sound quality, but expectations should be tempered if you are coming from Edifier's higher-end models or from a Sony WH 1000 XM 4
